India. Both cost around ₹90 lakh to

Design
The Porsche Cayenne has a sportier,
more aggressive design that turns
heads everywhere. The BMW X5 is more
conservative and elegant. If you want
attention go Cayenne. If you want
understated luxury go X5.
Performance
The Cayenne S produces 474bhp and
does 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds. The
BMW X5 M50i produces 530bhp and does
0-100kmph in 4.3 seconds. BMW wins
on pure performance.
Interior Comfort
Both have exceptional interiors but
the BMW X5 edges ahead for comfort
with its softer suspension and more
spacious rear seat. The Cayenne feels
more driver focused with sportier
seats and sharper steering.
Running Costs in India
Both cost similar amounts to run in
India. Annual service for either
costs ₹1.5 to ₹2.5 lakh. Insurance
runs ₹2 to ₹3 lakh annually. Fuel
costs are similar at around ₹15,000
to ₹20,000 per month for typical use.
Resale Value
The BMW X5 holds better resale value
in India due to higher brand
recognition. A 3 year old X5 retains
around 60% of its value versus 55%
for the Cayenne.

matter most. Buy the BMW X5 if
