Built in Kota, Rajasthan by Someone Who Actually Drives These Cars
My name is Pulkit Trigunayat. I am 23 years old, based in Kota, Rajasthan, and cars have been the defining passion of my life for as long as I can remember.
I did not start Motor Mogul to chase trends or make quick money from content. I started it because I was frustrated. Every time my family or friends asked me which car to buy, I would spend hours researching — and I kept finding the same problem. Most Indian automotive websites are either repackaged press releases from manufacturers, or generic content written by people who have never actually driven the cars they are reviewing on Indian roads.
Indian buyers deserve better. Motor Mogul is my answer to that problem.
Real Ownership Experience — Not Press Releases
What makes Motor Mogul genuinely different from every other Indian automotive website is simple — our family has owned and driven some of India’s most important cars across every segment. When I write about a car on Motor Mogul, I am not summarising a manufacturer brochure. I am drawing on real ownership experience.
Cars our family has owned and driven extensively:
Kia Seltos — We have covered thousands of kilometres in the Seltos on everything from Kota city traffic to the Jaipur-Jodhpur highway. Real world diesel mileage consistently 18 to 20 kmpl on highways. The DCT automatic is genuinely smooth. Dust infiltration through door seals on Rajasthan roads is a real issue nobody else mentions.
Honda City — The car that started my love for sedans. Years of ownership. Real world CVT mileage in Kota city traffic consistently 14 to 15 kmpl. The cabin insulation is noticeably better than Korean rivals. Highway drives between Kota and Jaipur are genuinely relaxed in a way that compact SUVs cannot match.
Toyota Fortuner — Understanding what makes India’s most trusted premium SUV special. Real world diesel highway mileage of 13 to 14 kmpl. The commanding road presence on Rajasthan’s national highways is genuinely confidence-inspiring. Service network accessibility even in smaller Rajasthan towns is the Fortuner’s most underrated ownership advantage.
Hyundai Creta — Years of real-world ownership experience across Rajasthan roads. The petrol automatic’s city fuel efficiency of 12 to 13 kmpl is honest. The panoramic sunroof transforms the cabin experience on long highway drives. The rear AC vents make summer driving genuinely bearable in 45-degree Rajasthan heat.
Mahindra XUV700 — First-hand knowledge of Mahindra’s flagship. The diesel automatic’s 420 Nm of torque makes the Kota to Delhi highway run genuinely effortless. The Sony 3D audio system is the best factory-fitted audio in any Indian car under ₹25 lakh. Level 2 ADAS on the highway genuinely reduces fatigue.
Toyota Innova Crysta — Understanding what makes the perfect Indian family MPV. Real world diesel mileage of 14 to 15 kmpl on Rajasthan highways. The ladder-frame stability at high speeds on broken state highways is something no monocoque MPV fully replicates. The rear seat comfort on long drives remains unmatched.
This ownership experience across hatchbacks, sedans, compact SUVs, premium SUVs and MPVs gives Motor Mogul something no other Indian automotive website can claim — genuine first-hand knowledge of what these cars are actually like to own, drive, and maintain on Indian roads in Indian conditions.
Why Kota, Rajasthan Matters
Rajasthan is one of the most demanding environments for cars in India. Extreme summer heat pushing past 47 degrees. Fine desert dust that infiltrates every filter and seal. Rural roads that alternate between smooth national highways and completely broken district surfaces. Long inter-city distances where fuel efficiency translates directly into monthly savings.
When Motor Mogul recommends a car for Indian conditions — we are recommending it for Rajasthan conditions. If a car handles Rajasthan well, it handles India well.
