The Tata Nexon EV and Hyundai Creta

electric SUVs. Both are priced
similarly but offer very different
experiences. Here is our detailed

Design
The Hyundai Creta EV looks more
premium with its parametric pixel
LED lights and sleek body lines. The
Tata Nexon EV has a sportier more
aggressive look with its Impact 2.0
design language. Both look great but
the Creta EV edges ahead on premium
feel.
Range
The Hyundai Creta EV offers 473km
range making it the clear winner on
this front. The Tata Nexon EV offers
465km range — nearly identical in
real world conditions. Both are more
than sufficient for Indian driving.
Performance
The Nexon EV produces 143bhp while
the Creta EV produces 138bhp. Both
feel quick and responsive in city
driving. The Nexon EV feels slightly
sportier while the Creta EV feels
more refined and smooth.
Interior
The Creta EV interior feels more
premium with better quality materials
and a more sophisticated design. The
Nexon EV interior is practical and
well laid out but feels a step below
the Creta EV in perceived quality.
Charging
Both support DC fast charging. The
Creta EV charges from 10 to 80
percent in 58 minutes. The Nexon EV
does the same in 56 minutes. Charging
speeds are virtually identical.
After Sales Service
Tata has a significantly larger
service network in India making the
Nexon EV easier to service especially
in smaller cities. Hyundai’s network
is excellent in metro cities but
thinner in smaller towns.
Price
The Tata Nexon EV starts at ₹14.49
lakh making it significantly more
affordable than the Hyundai Creta EV
which starts at ₹17.99 lakh. The
price difference of ₹3.5 lakh is
significant.
Verdict
Buy the Tata Nexon EV if budget and
service network matter most. Buy the
Hyundai Creta EV if you want the
most premium electric SUV experience
under ₹20 lakh. Both are excellent
choices but for most Indian buyers
the Nexon EV offers better overall
value.
